Jenny Housley
Jenny Housley is the President at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC). As President of the only not-for profit commercial health insurer in Kansas City and the largest not-for-profit health insurer in Missouri, she is helping to shape the future of the healthcare industry in the Kansas City area and ensures the company is meeting its mission of providing affordable access to healthcare and improving the health of members.
In her previous role as Senior Vice President, Chief Revenue Officer for Blue KC , Jenny oversaw the Government, Commercial and Labor/Union sales teams, commercial product development and innovation, corporate strategy across all lines of business, the commercial call center, customer experience, underwriting and corporate marketing. She was responsible for the retention of all customers, including labor and union groups.
Jenny has dedicated more than three decades of her career to the employee benefits consulting field. Prior to joining Blue KC, she held multiple leadership roles at Lockton Companies including Executive Vice President, Producer, where she was responsible for new business acquisition and client retention. Jenny was heavily involved in guiding the overall strategic direction of her clients’ benefit programs and served on Lockton’s Executive Committee.
A respected leader in the industry, Jenny has been recognized by Ingram’s Magazine as one of 50 Kansans You Should Know in 2025, in the Kansas City Business Journal’s 2021 Class of Women Who Mean Business, by Ingram’s Magazine as a Women Executives-KC (WeKC) honoree in 2019 and as one of Business Insurance Magazine’s “Women to Watch” in 2009. Jenny is active in numerous civic and charitable organizations in the Kansas City community and currently serves on the Kansas City Area Development Council and its Executive Committee, The Civic Council of Greater Kansas City and its KC Tomorrow leadership group, and the Kansas City Sports Commission. Jenny was in the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions leadership program, Class of 2007.
Jenny earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas. She is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and achieved certification by Forrester as a CX Champion in 2020.
