Todd P. Graves
Todd is a partner with Graves Garrett LLC, which is a Kansas City-based law firm that represents businesses, executives and individuals in various complex commercial litigation, including white collar criminal defense litigation.
A founding member of the Kansas City Missouri Police Foundation, Todd comes from a family with strong ties to the law enforcement community. He currently resides with his wife, Tracy, and four children in a farm house built by his great-great grandfather, who was a former Kansas City Police Officer in the 1800s. In addition, Graves established his private practice after serving as the presidentially appointed U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri. Graves was appointed to the position after being twice elected as Platte County, Mo., Prosecuting Attorney.
Outside of the practice of law, Todd is active in the community and currently serves as executive vice president of the Pony Express Council of the Boy Scouts of America and as a member of the board of directors for the American Royal Association.
In 1991, Todd received his law degree and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Virginia. He received a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Missouri in 1988.
